See Daphne
in Action!

Daphne is an expert, sought-after speaker on the topic of employment for young adults, discussing both the challenges and the solutions. She can be found speaking at various events and venues, including the Schulich School of Business, York University and the Faculty of Business at Ryerson University.

Workshops & Speaking Events

Beyond working one-on-one with young adults, Daphne conducts seminars and workshops for young adults, as well as their parents and grandparents. She covers subjects like:

  • Trends and societal conditions that are compounding the challenges young adults are facing in finding meaningful work: the problem and the solution.
  • What employers are looking for when they are hiring, i.e., what constitutes the elusive “fit”.
  • How anxiety is rising among young adults in response to the tight labour market, and what can be done to mitigate it.
  • What parents can do for their children to prepare them for the challenges of the job search post-graduation.

Daphne has created a special 5-part workshop series called Reality Bites. It discusses:

  1. Job search: What are you REALLY getting into in the current job market? What are employers looking for?
  2. Getting prepared: Thrive, tell your story, and ride the “roller coaster”
  3. People don't hire cell phones: Standing out from the crowd
  4. Where DOES social media fit in?
  5. Nailing it: The interview, getting the job… and what’s next?
